"Coach Pete
with Omega Speed Training
has helped me grow as an athlete. The speed training
programs, and speed training camps were awesome! In the strength and
conditioning programs that were given by Omega
Speed Training - I have seen a
ton of improvement in a short period of time.
Omega Speed Training workouts are the best and I look forward to
coming to the gym to workout because I know the
workout I am now doing is getting big results.
I can't thank Coach Pete with Omega Speed
Training enough, he knows his
stuff when it comes to speed training and knows how to work with a variety of
people. He is the man - thanks Coach
Pete!"

The answer is YES! The performance of all types of
RESISTANCE EXERCISE results in either a long-term or
short-term increase in your BMR. Whereas, AEROBIC
activity raises your metabolism only during the
performance of the aerobic activity.
Resistance exercises will speed up your metabolism more
so than aerobics, but it must be the right type of
resistance exercise. What you want is a long term
increase in your BMR, not a short-term increase.
If you have set up a resistance exercise routine that is
comprised of high reps with light weight and you do this
frequently you will speed up your metabolism, but it
will be on a short-term basis. Your Metabolism
will speed up in between your workouts, as your
white-fast twitch muscle energy gets replaced, but this
is ONLY a short-term increase in you BMR.
Increases in BMR that are long-term come from those
types of RESISTANCE exercises that cause the greatest
increase in lean tissue size, for example
resistance exercises that target your PRIME MOVER
MUSCLES with low reps and heavy weight. In this
type of resistance exercise routine you are targeting
your red-slow twitch muscles - which have greater lean
tissue, than white-fast twitch muscles. The
greater the muscle weight, the more energy the body
expends throughout the day. This reflects a long
term increase in metabolism.
Besides low rep with heavy weight resistance exercises,
you should begin eating many small meals throughout the
day as apposed to eating infrequent large meals.
Your Digestion also raises the speed of your METABOLISM.

is tailored individually to you and your fitness goals.
A big smile to you.
